
| Biography: Marcia Brown MA is a Visual Artist & qualified ArtsTutor QTLS (Mifl) with a passion for painting and teaching art.She started her formal art education at Jacob Kramer Art College in leeds.Then went onto complete her Masters Degree (MA)at Leeds Metropolitian University.During her studies, she won the Edna Lumb Travel Scholarship to research Roots Reggae Music in Jamaica. Artist Statement: My artwork is very varied, I enjoy using an array of media and different subject matters to inspire my creativity. I like to think that the act of creating art is very much as important as the end product.And the artist should be free to express this at all times and not to be bound by subject matter or outside constraints.
Tutor Profile: My background experience in the arts includes teaching adults oil painting and basic drawing and printmaking at Swarthmore Education Centre. I also work with young people with challenging behaviour at Music & Arts Production.I deliver Arts Award,Nocn and Asdan qualifications.
I have a current CRB and Public Liability Insurance. I am also a member of the Institute of Learning (Mifl)
